To the Foote Family: I was saddened by Bob's passing, but I know Bob would want us to smile and laugh when remembering him. I knew that Bob had made the decision to never "drink" again before I met him, but I was never very sure how long ago that occurred. Based on my personal experience, I hope everyone in the family respects how important that decision was for the success and happiness of your family. My father never made that commitment and it led to a lot of stress and unhappiness. I had the opportunity to visit with Bob many times. It was always eventful. One of the conversations that I remember that caused both of us to laugh occurred during the worst of the COVID and the problems in the cattle market. Bob made the comment in jest " I don't know why we do this (feed cattle) but I suppose it is because we don't play golf. We have to do something. It just caught me funny and we had a good laugh. But I believe it reflected many things about Bob. We all need to be doing something and that drove him to always move forward with an optimistic view. God bless the Foote family!! Darrell Holaday
