Wow what a man, what a company, and what a family. Peace to you all. I met Bob during the Great Recession of 2009. I was managing a lot of acquired properties at that time and sold Bob some nice industrial land. As I read about his life in the obit I chucked to myself that he definitely negotiated well on that deal. During the deal, maybe after he closed, I wanted to meet him so I set up a time to meet and went out and visited him at his modest home. I myself grew up in the cattle business as the son of a large animal veterinarian. I don’t remember all the details of this 1.5 hour conversation with Bob, but I was struck by his warmth, humor, smarts, interest and I knew without a doubt that he was a man that i very much trusted and a 10 plus individual.
